Bands were popping up all over Chicago land and we were lucky enough to get a manager. We started out in Addison Trail high school where Hawk and Addison Al (Bangor’s Flying Circus/Madura) were a year ahead of us.The Shady Daze formed in 1966 Bill Jordan-lead vocals/drums, Glen Rupp-guitar/vocals, Kurt Gore-bass, Mark Drzewiecki-guitar/drums/vocals, Gregg Owen-organ 1967 Greg Biela-bass/vocals, Late 1967 to 1969 … Mark Bishop – trumpet, Pat Kelly – trumpet, Steve Tetrev -coronet We then added a keyboard player, a bass player and adopted a new name for the band. The popularity of the Detroit sound caused our band to evolve into learning the Motown stuff along with other top 40 covers. Bill’s older sister Sharron happened to be the president of the Missing Links fan club and she had all the Motown records which she used play when we would come over to Bill’s house. For some reason Joe and Art (the two guys on the left side of the photo starring into the distance) left the group and eventually I was wearing one of those shirts and was in the band. I didn’t know at the time, but Joe would become one of my dearest life long friends. He was the first guy to wear Beatle boots and he used to play his Harmony guitar in the lunchroom. The guy on the left is Joe Cuttone who Bill and I went to 7th and 8th grade with. Bill went on to play in other bands including the one in the photo on the right. It turned out that he was really good plus he could sing.

I didn’t even know that Bill played drums. I’ll play drums and you play guitar” I said OK and we ended up winning the school talent show that year. My classmate, Bill Jordan and I were walking behind the local shopping mall when he said ” let’s start a band. Joe Cuttone-Art Williams-Mark Drzewiecki-Bill Jordan
